I had given up hope of any release from depression and addiction. At rock bottom and in the hope of one last attempt at finding peace I was recommended to Dr Arora. Working with me patiently, unwavering in his questioning to understand and most importantly really hearing me and digging deeper when needed I finally began a process that has allowed me to move from my self- imposed hell into a place where I have honestly found peace and a reconnection with life I did not think possible. Dr Arora took care of my medication and therapeutic approach and I still entrust this to him as through this I have now achieved 3 full years of freedom from the web of depression and destructive patterns that was killing any enjoyment of life. I believe it will always be a journey but I never feel alone. I know I can always reach out to him if something feels destabilising and continue to navigate life in all its glories and challenges. Life is not always rosy or easy but I no longer experience the hopelessness. Dr Aroras character exudes gentleness and acceptance, there is never judgement and that creates a safe space into which to unload all of the past that I was carrying. This has allowed me to stop it infecting the future. He has a great memory (or is an excellent note taker) and he reminds me when necessary either about the reasoning I took a former action and help me accept current discomfort as a way through to the freedom I was seeking. It is never a smooth journey, there are times of great release and others of slow progress but he always stands firm in the belief that a healthy enjoyable life can be achieved. He takes away the "hopelessness" and helps me keep moving forward even when the path is rocky. The gentleness masks the heart of a lion for he is certainly fierce and sustained in his advocation and encouragement. I put my faith in him at a time I had no faith in myself and he carried that until I could assume responsibility. He always makes you feel that you are valid and valued and entitled to the opportunity for a good quality of life. Dr Arora is always the first to acknowledge that the relationship works because I put the work in but I put the work in because he somehow managed to help me move to a place where I could trust and find hope.

Dr Arora has supported our daughter (now an adult) for many years, having been the only psychiatrist to accurately diagnose her mental health, after a long and painful journey for her and us. He continues to work with her, when she needs his help and can be relied upon to quickly respond to emails. He is extremely capable, professional and genuinely cares.

Dr Arora has always treated me like an active participant in deciding my treatment plan which I love and is hard to find. He treats me like I have a brain and am capable of making decisions for myself and he ensures he presents different treatment options in detail. He is clearly very up to date with the latest clinical evidence and will work with you and listen to you to come up with a treatment plan right for you, not just following a set path like too often in the case with some psychiatrists. He is flexible but attentive with followups. I couldn't recommend him more highly.

Dr Arora has been my psychiatrist for several years. He is very friendly and puts me at ease, and he delivers things that are hard to hear with compassion and subtlety. I’ve recently had an appointment to help me through a lengthy bipolar depression episode, and he recommended several avenues of treatment and support beyond medication such as nutrition and neurodivergence screening and I felt my difficulties were being thoroughly investigated and addressed. I would warmly recommend him.

I've started seeing Dr. Arora at a very difficult time in my life (early 2021) when everything else was failing to help. He listened to me carefully, asking all the relevant information to make a fair assessment of my background, the symptoms and the steps I had taken earlier. Even when there was plenty to discuss, the doctor was always attentive and never rushed me. After summarising everything I said to make sure he got everything right, he suggested a treatment which would eventually be a game changer. However, what I liked the most was all the information he provided, and how carefully he planned my treatment to ensure that I'd be ok at all times. As I said, the treatment was exactly what I needed, but Dr. Arora always checked to make sure I was receiving all the help I could get. The doctor answered absolutely all the questions I had in every appointment and followed then up in later appointments to make sure I had everything I needed. As I feel a great deal of gratitude and respect for Dr. Arora and I would recommend him to anyone in need for psychiatric help.
